Pousada Terra
A story that continues to bloomin Caraíva Village
When Pousada Terra first opened its doors in 1989, Caraíva Village looked very different. Photographs from those early days reveal a sandy landscape, where the buildings and gardens were just beginning to take shape. It was the opening chapter of a story that would grow alongside this remarkable corner of Bahia.
Over the years, Elenice’s care transformed the landscape. Trees grew taller, shade spread across the pathways, and the bungalows became part of a thriving garden. What was once a young garden is now inseparable from Terra’s identity.
Today, guests are welcomed by birdsong, timber verandas and leisurely mornings around the breakfast table. Yet no photograph can fully capture the people, memories and thoughtful gestures that have made this place far more than somewhere to stay.
This is only part of our story. Behind the gardens you see today are encounters, changes and memories waiting to be discovered.

BREAKFAST
Breakfast begins long before you sit down.
A thoughtful journey from our garden, through the kitchen, to the table where each morning begins at Terra.

It all starts in the garden.
At Terra, nature has a place in our kitchen. Vegetables and greens grown in the guesthouse garden make their way into our dishes, connecting what we serve with the landscape around us.

Made here, with care.
Much of what reaches the table is made right here. Our yoghurt, granola and Brazilian cheese bread are prepared in a kitchen where attention to food is part of our hospitality.

Freshly made for you.
Each morning brings its own choices: freshly made tapioca, scrambled eggs and coffee prepared just the way you like it. A warm invitation to begin the day with the flavours of Terra.
Breakfast is included in your stay.
